Dermal Filler
Restore volume, contour, and balance with HA-based dermal fillers.
Dermal filler is, at its best, a study in proportion. The face changes with time. Bone recedes, fat pads shift, the scaffolding that holds skin taut quietly thins. Filler restores what has moved. It is not about adding. It is about replacing.
Hyaluronic acid, the material used in modern fillers, is a sugar molecule the body already produces. The version we inject is engineered for predictable shape and longevity, and importantly, it is reversible — an unusual safety feature in an aesthetic intervention.
At Simply Me, filler is treated as architecture. We work conservatively, in stages. We measure success by whether you look like a more rested version of yourself, not like someone else.
How it works
Hyaluronic acid binds water. Placed in the deep tissue, it provides structural lift; placed more superficially, it smooths and hydrates. The molecule is gradually broken down by the body’s own enzymes over months to years, depending on the product, the location, and individual metabolism.
Different formulations are designed for different jobs. A firmer, more cohesive gel is appropriate for cheek projection or jawline definition. A softer, more spreadable formulation suits lips or fine lines. Choosing the right material for the right plane is most of the craft.
When filler is no longer wanted, hyaluronidase — an enzyme — can dissolve it within hours. This is a meaningful safety distinction from permanent or semi-permanent fillers, which we do not use.
Formulations
We work with several FDA-approved hyaluronic acid families (Juvéderm®, Restylane®, and Evolysse®). Each line includes multiple products engineered for specific tissue planes — softer gels for fine lines and lips, firmer gels for structural support. Selection is driven by anatomy and goal, not preference for a brand.
What to expect
A filler appointment runs forty-five minutes to an hour, longer for first visits. We begin with assessment: a careful look at proportion, asymmetry, and the patterns of volume loss specific to your face. We mark planned injection points and discuss the staged plan, which may involve treating one area today and revisiting another in a few weeks.
Most fillers contain lidocaine, and we use topical numbing for sensitive areas like lips. Injections are performed with either a needle or a microcannula, depending on the area. Cannulas reduce bruising risk in zones with more vasculature.
You will see immediate change. Mild swelling and the possibility of small bruises are normal for the first few days. Final settling occurs around two weeks to a month, which is when we evaluate results and discuss next steps.
Who it’s right for
- Adults with age- or genetics-related volume loss in the cheeks, temples, or chin
- Patients seeking refined contour at the jawline
- Those wanting subtle lip enhancement with attention to natural proportion
- Patients pairing filler with regenerative therapies such as exosomes to support tissue quality alongside structure
Filler is not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for active skin infection at the planned site, or for patients with certain autoimmune or bleeding conditions. A full medical history is reviewed before treatment.
After care
- Apply cool compresses, briefly, in the first twenty-four hours to reduce swelling.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and high heat for forty-eight hours.
- Sleep slightly elevated for the first few nights.
- Avoid dental work and facials for two weeks.
- Expect swelling and possible bruising for three to seven days; final result at one month.
- Plan touch-up or maintenance based on the product used — nine to eighteen months for most areas, sometimes longer.
Frequently asked questions
How much does dermal filler cost?
Pricing varies by product. Most areas require one to two syringes for a meaningful result. A comprehensive plan may unfold across multiple visits. We outline expected ranges in consultation. Please review our Facial Balancing specials for optimal results.
How long does filler last?
It depends on the product and the area. Lip filler tends to metabolize faster than cheek or jawline filler. Most patients return for refinement somewhere between nine and eighteen months.
Is filler safe?
Hyaluronic acid filler has decades of clinical use behind it. The most important safety factor is the injector — anatomy, technique, and judgment matter far more than product choice. All filler at Simply Me is placed by trained medical providers.
Will I look overdone?
Not when treated conservatively and in stages. We would rather under-correct and revisit than over-correct and reverse. If you arrive with previous filler that feels excessive, we can discuss dissolving and starting over.
Can filler be removed?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, usually within twenty-four hours. This is a meaningful safety feature.
What is the difference between filler and a neurotoxin?
Filler restores volume or shapes contour. A neurotoxin relaxes muscles to soften lines from expression. They address different concerns and are often paired.

Exosomes
Cellular signaling molecules that amplify regeneration when layered into treatment.
